Do people just hold their phones up and take pics as Emmas having a private conversation/drink with a friend like its no big deal? Why not just ask for a pic and leave it at that, be it a yes or a no. Its kinda obvious in last pic she can tell she is taking a picture of her but doesn't want the hassle or confrontation of having to say anything about it.I rarely feel 'sorry' for celebs when people bring up the whole paparazzi/privacy stuff cause its kinda part of the job and comes with the territory(of making millions of dollars for doing an easy job 99% of the world would kill to have) but I just dunno how people can be so stalkery with pictures and play it off like they are a fan 'oh shes like hermione in real life, lol, shes great'..you just took creepy pics of her, she prob hates you for it.
Its a catch 22. People get excited when they see a celeb and although it seems the person who took these photos didnt want to disturb her while with her friends. They were probably too excited to let the opportunity pass and figured no one would believe them if they told them they saw Emma. Personally i wouldnt do this kind of stuff nor bother her but at the same time i can kind of understand the mentality. We build these people up to god like status so when you actually come across a celeb it becomes very exciting even to the point we forget that they are just human beings like the rest of us.
people who STILL do the "hermione in real life" shit are embarrassing. like, hermione is a fictional character. emma is not. stop.
she works out she is having pictures taken of her hence she looks distressed - this is invading her privacy yet you post them
She doesn't even seem to notice that the pictures are being taken. Your argument of invading her privacy is valid but she doesn't look distressed becaude of the pictures here.
I don't understand what's the problem. She's a celebrity and she's not new to situations like this. She knew what she signed up for so why so salty people? She's not cheating, she's not naked, she's just chilling there.Celebs don't always want to have a picture with their fans when they ask them for it so that's also why people do this. There is nothing wrong with these pictures so chill people.
"She knew what she signed up for"You mean, when she took the role of Hermione as a 10 year old?I agree with previous comments, this is invading her privacy. It doesn't matter what she's doing, whether she's just having a conversation or kissing someone or whatever. She has a right to privacy. This is her life. I get that people would want to take sneaky pics because they're impressed (although I still think it's disrespectful), but why post them online after? Just to prove you've seen her? That's creepy.
I saw george clooney at an airport in Italy once. I was not impressed. Years ago I saw Madonna in Berlin. We were in parlament. A tour guide said that there are more beautiful girls in this bus that makes Madonna look less than plain. Take away the make-up and the photo cosmetics and you have a plain person. Big deal. They also put on their socks every morning. I met Meryl Streep years ago at Vassar College in NYC. Now that is a woman with real class; her life speaks for itself.
You don't get it do you? people who step into showbiz will never have enough privacy. You want to be a famous actor?a singer?do you want to get an Oscar?a Grammy?none of it is possible without becoming popular. You don't get to achieve all that without fans.Without fans you are no one.How do you want to be successful if no one wants to watch you on a big screen or listen to your songs? when youre a celeb people will always follow your steps because they love what you do.You can't be famous and have all the privacy you want. Its sad but true.Even if Emma took a step back from all of that she would still be stalked by paparazzi for a long time.Thats how it works.
Can I just say, if Emma doesn't want this to happen to her, she should stop acting. There are downsides to every job, you decide where you draw the line. She's amazing and could do anything she sets her mind to, so it's not her only option. I just struggle to understand why there is a set of standards for the "upper class" and ordinary folk. Everyone I know has elements of their job that they don't like, but they have to deal with it to earn money. I don't see the difference here. Fed up of this debate - except where children/violence involved. ps: Probably doesn't help that she said she wouldn't do photos with fans... Now they feel they have no choice. I agree that this is a problem with society in general, technically an actor is doing the same job as a chef or an accountant but because they get paid more, publicised more, promoted more, we elevate them to godlike status. If we treated everyone more equally, celebrated ordinary folk, this wouldn't happen!
"How do you want to be successful if no one wants to watch you on a big screen or listen to your songs? when youre a celeb people will always follow your steps because they love what you do.You can't be famous and have all the privacy you want."You tell it yourself: "watch you on a big screen", "listen to your songs". That's the artists' *work*. Not their *life*. If people love what artists *do*, they should concentrate on that, their *work*, not their *private life*. As for being famous, maybe some want it, but some others just want to *work*. Do films, music, whatever. But that's their *work* they're willing to share, not their *private life*.I find it disturbing when people say that's normal etc. No, it's not. People should realize that, just because they watch actors' films or listen to musicians' music, it doesn't mean they're allowed to have access to their life. I know that is the case in the society we live in, it doesn't mean we should just say: "Well then, if they're not happy, they just have to quit acting or whatever." No, I think it's the other way around. Society has to realise that the scrutiny artists are under is unhealthy. I don't think it'll ever happen though.
Actors and celebrities are exhibitionists, that is why they are so enjoyable. But paps and nosey fans come with the job. If they did not have them around naturally, they would call them up, Hey I'm eatting out with Brad Pitt at McDonalds. If the paps didn't show up they would be sad and then yell about naked photos being hacked. What I'm saying is that they can't take it and can't leave it.I do not believe that most of them are normal; no they are not harmful, but odd. So be it! >Most people are a bit odd, but most do not flaunt their oddity.
Funny if the first picture was Emma looking at a man like that everyone would be saying how in love she looks like. Totally telling that people see what they want to see.
To a degree I agree with the last comment, fame comes at a price and although it's not something I would do I can understand fans realising that she would probably refuse a photo. Emma tends to cut herself off not only from her fans but from mixing with other famous people and events. This is all very well if she is happy she has no job offers but she is hardly likely to get any if she doesn't mix with the people who matter. I can only think that perhaps she is giving up on her acting career and is going to do something else. As for the privacy part that I CAN understand. We were once in a restaurant when we recognised an actor who during his day was fairly well known (going back tot he 1960s) and I wouldn't go over to his table and ask for an autograph because he was with friends and eating. However he noticed that I'd seen him and knew who he was, so when they got up to leave he came over, thanked me for not interrupting his meal and autographed a menu for me. I thought that was lovely of him. We both had respect for each other. Not many other famous people would do that these days, they tend to take fans very much for granted unlike back then.
That look though.... <3 <3
I don't think she is getting the offers she like either. She is distancing herself from fans and the cinema world. Good for her if she takes the money and runs. She earned it and could live well and creative for the rest of her life.
Only exhibitionists stay in the pot light all their life. Money can't make you happy. How many celebs were / are in rehab, lost all their money to booze and loose living, homeless, multiple times divorced, multiple children from loose relationships. When I read things like this I think- how pathetic.Emma can do better than this cotton candy world. I'd take the money and run-
